Some trucks block the flow of electricity when the truck is not running, preventing a battery drain. While you are connected and driving, there will be flow to the rig, which should run the furnace. That said, I always disconnect at night. I would also avoid running the furnace or water heater while fueling. I suppose the fridge could be a haxard as well, but I’ve never shut it off.
