We've never had any cord stolen in almost 10 years of full timing. Camping World sells a locking device that fits on the cable that I use when locking my Surge Guard and cable together and then to the rig. If you're concerned about the cable walking off, you might try that. They sell one for the 30- and one for the 50-amp cable. I have both.
