We have it and it works great! We have had it for 2 years now with no sticky fingers but.....last year we where at "The Rally" in Kentucky someone pulled the pin trying to steal it and we went down the road with no pin in our hitch. Grrr.... Lucky lucky lucky us we had a anti wobble device that they could not get off which held it from KT to MD. Now there is a lock pin in the hitch. After that we bought the ladder mount rack and have not had any issues since. It is an expensive addition but keeps it safer and wires out of your campsite to trip over. The only reason you have to take it off is if the back of the RV is not facing south in your site. It actually can stay on there during travel. Just a FYI for next fathers day!!! Enjoy!
