We would not leave the driveway without the TPMS . We have the TST 507 as most do. We had another brand before that and both worked perfectly. We have had a TPMS on our Montana's since 2006 and saved the day more than once. They can not alert you of a blowout but will alert to a loss of pressure that will look like a blowout once the tire comes off the rim.
We saw a example of that on the way to Florida this year as a I ton dually came by me with smoke coming off his right outer dually tire and about a mile in front of me the tire came apart I saw it buckle and come off the rim a TPMS may have saved the day.
