Mark A, I wired in a remote on one of my 12v light fixtures. I leave the light switch on all the time and use the remote to turn the light on and off. Works great for when I'm out and return at night. I use it for going to bed and/or if need a light quickly when in bed, just hit the remote. I believe I got it from Amazon.
