Bill-- Jim has the solution for you to make the adaptor to hang straight down instead of on the side. Apparently the guy that put the power socket on your Monte was in a hurry or had no idea what direction it was suppose to be. Remove the four screws on the holding plate and pull out the socket, rotate it the 90 degrees and reinstall it. Just make sure you disconnect the battery/s and do not have the unit hooked up to power when doing this. I have the same adaptor and it works great with the 50 amp cord hanging off of it straight down to the ground. Let us know how it works! See you in Goshen if not before!
