Dick they have pet friendly settings. Our dogs and cat sleep near them. When trailer is stored we put them on continue full strength mode. I would not recommend these if not for my own experience. We bought an outdoor unit and place it under the RV. Keeps critters from even coming near RV. That unit is motion detection activated. We did that because "a Possum family tried to get into the undercarriage of RV parked next to ours. Our unit quickly ram them off. Very sold on these units! I may have mentioned that couple years ago our RV group got hit by stink bugs while camping in Indiana. Our units in the Montana worked on those difficult pests. None stayed around the Montana long. Our friends had them inside the RV for weeks after we got home.
