I wanted all the clearance between the rig and my bed I could get so I got an in the bed toolbox from Loews that's worked well for me for several years. Since my truck is four wheel drive and the new higher off the ground style I use a small folding step when I need to get to the bottom or middle of the box. The step folds up and drops between the tool box and the bed.
