Is the axle actually backwards, or are the brake assemblies just on the opposite ends? Of course, if they are opposite from where they should be, the brake adjusters will only work in reverse instead of while going forward like they are intended to be. Should be a fairly easy fix to just put the left and right assemblies in their proper places.
