Thanks for reminding us why we moved to Oregon 26 years ago! I can still remember the winter I worked in Chicago and the wind chill was -65, the trains did not run, and I stood on a platform outside for an hour because no one else could fit inside the station. That is a cold I never want to experience again. You would shovel the snow one day and the next day it blew back into the driveway, and the same with the highways. Even the weather I was used to in New England was mild compared to that of the Chicago area. If we want to visit the snow we have lots of choices in the mountains around here. That is close enough.
