People often badmouth KOAs as being terrible places to stay. I have stayed at KOAs in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, and New Mexico and have never had a problem with any of them. Some better than others, but none bad. Have seen nothing as described about the above KOA.
Good luck? Or just the more typical experience?
