To each his own ... I use my remote alot especially hooking up. I just back the truck up to the hitch and adjust it up or down as needed. It also comes in handy deploying the rear stabilizers if you use wood pads and extending the slides if you are in tight places (I always check inside before running them out). The only issue I had with it was finding the secret screw when changing the battery. I reckon more people had issue with it than not so Keystone dropped that gadget.
