Can you tell us what type of refrigerator you have. From time to time folks have had problems with Norcold's seals leaking outside air into the unit. In answer to your question of is this normal, no it isn't. We have a Norcold four door and we full time. We defrost a couple of times a year, even when we're in Kansas in the summer with all this years storms and humidity.
