Looks like the AMP Power Step is the way to go. They ARE expensive, but are cheaper and less painful than a knee or hip surgery. On the truck we bought, they would extend down 13" below the level of the doorsill plate. Much, much nicer than the level of the NERF bars on the old truck.

The cost of $1149 includes steps for the entire length of both sides of the crew cab, and are equipped with led lighting.

Unless you are a "DIY" type person, installation is averaging out at $350.

We have a business license so I am still checking if there is a cost difference in purchasing through the business.

I did research the Bestop brand of Power Step and they are cheaper, but are so different in their drop from the doorsill (6") and in how they operate that I won't consider them.

Thanks for the input. Glad to hear that Capt Kidd and VMoore1's son love their AMP Power Steps.

Now, I just have to convince my husband that these are a necessity. Piece of cake.
