Sounds as though you are speaking of towing two different trailers, one with a gooseneck (stock or utility trailer?) and one with a 5th wheel hitch (the Monty?).
A very popular hitch for such is the B&W Turnover Ball with a Companion hitch. Haven't used one myself but they get lots of praise.
