We do like and use the boom. I use the heavy duty hose inside the boom, and find it extends out far enough almost all the time, and I carry a second length in case needed. Cannot remember the length I installed. I like the boom because I dont have to unhook anything and store, just remove the elbow and push back into the tube. Many don't like it, others have made modifications.
