Don't remember exactly how long, but no where near that long last time I did it. I only filled it to about 3/4, but it wasn't more than 10 to 15 minutes as I recall.

Did you loosen the filler cap while filling? I did when I filled mine to let the air out as it filled. Could be that pressure is preventing it from filling faster.
