Yeah, we may be where there is a repeat of 1973 over again where fuel shortages are created to increase pricing. Parallel this with severe emissions standards on diesel engines that glup that liquid to attain both efficency and horsepower will likely drive the extra cost of a diesel engine up so high that the gasoline engine will be the only alternative for towing. We will have to see if technology will continue to do its part over the next 5 to 10 years. Who would have thought that diesel would cost more per gallon than gasoline at the pumps today?
