We've got the 3150 as well and have the same problem with our shower drain. So far no rust problems to speak of. I keep a sponge and squeegee in the shower and after I squeegee, I take the sponge and soak up the remaining water around the drain (about 1/2 cup). The shape of the shower pan causes the problem, but is a relatively small problem in my mind.
