The DVD sound system was cheap junk to start with. I replaced Quest system before the warranty was up. It never worked right and wasn't worth the aggravation. I bought a separate DVD player, 5.1 receiver, 4 speakers and a powered subwoofer. Sounds great and has worked flawlessly for 4 years with lots and lots of use.
