Very good investigating, Wifeofdano!. Since the product uses no glue that's why it can't be used for stair rises. I wonder if a good vinyl flooring glue would solve the problem. If someone decides to use flooring like this throughout the rig, having carpet only on the stairs might look funny. It's certainly a viable option for our kitchen, and bathroom areas or other small areas.

If they claim this product is excellent for trailers and motor homes, I'd like to know what they regard as a flexible floor, since they recommend "All subfloors must be sound, solid and have little flexibility."? What's left?

I like jsmitfl's comparison of laminate flooring, but would like to think that laminate has an advantage of being thicker and heavier to reduce impact from flexing if used as a floating (unglued) floor.

I just want to consider all the ramifications. Jumping on a product without thinking it through could get someone to have some bad experiences. And we don't want that.
