To the original question. I don't think you'll get anyone to say, "yep, it's fine to overload your truck". That's a decision you're gonna have to make. But, as you can see, lots of folks pull and stop more weight than you would be towing with 3/4 ton trucks. You are looking at more pin weight than our unit is listed at, but we have lots of goodies in the RV and basement, and I feel very comfortable towing the unit we have.
