Bob & Lee we did use the same vent to the outside. However CW installed the both units. We had the Splendide in a Everest 343 L also and just had it installed in the Cambridge. In the Everest 343 L it was in the front closet and was vent outside up front. We did have a drip pan installed with the Ariston and yes you will loose some storage. GBY...
