We have them on our Montana. I dont think they have any protection from high winds..the larger slide covers flap and are noisey in windy weather. As for the rain you have to watch b/c water pools up on them. Some use a beach ball so the rain doesnt do this. Just remember when you close your slides not to stand under them because you will get a shower!
