John - there are different types of water heaters installed in these units. We need to know the year and model of your RV before any helpful ideas can be shared. It sounds like you might have a Suburban Nautilus IW60 on demand water heater, but more info is needed.

Click on USER CP in upper left of this screen, then EDIT SIGNATURE and add the year and model of your RV to your signature- then the smart folks here can help solve the problem.
