Locks are for the honest people staying honest. A criminal bent on getting in isn't really slowed down much by locks on anything. Peace of mind goes only as far as your perception of your rig security...which for almost any rig out there, can be defeated by a determined thief! All this notwithstanding...I haven't heard of reports of theft from storage bays/propane tank holders. It would be interesting to have more input from current RV owners on this unknown statistic.
