I just read a few things that said it was 12 yrs to re-certify...but then you need to re-certify again every 5 years. You should do more research on that to make sure the two articles I chose to read are correct - but if this is correct, I would buy new tanks and start the 12-yr clock all over.

Surely this law is based on the science and not crafted by lobbyists as a money-makin-deal to make it more attractive to buy a new tank!
