We had both the longer one and shorter one for our fridge. The longer bolt one secures the fridge with doors closed during travel. The shorter one goes in the same place with the doors open when stored. This allows the fridge to "air out" and not get mold when in storage and not running. The short length prevents the doors from closing and gives an air gap so the fridge doesn't close and seal. Our old RV fridge in previous TT had sliding plastic clips on the door for the same purpose.
