My experience is exactly the same as BandBmalin. Bolt on has been a great hitch for 14 years. Can't imagine what you would find that would prevent the mounting of the hitch. (Unless things have drastically changed since our last factory tour I don't think the concealed insulation is going to be an obstacle.) Whatever it is would be the same if bolting on or welding.
