There was discussion on this technique earlier this year. My concern is that after you fill the shower tank you are applying extra pressure to the top lid as the kitchen tanks fills. These two piece tanks weak spot is the attachment of the tank lid.

I did use this technique in my Montana before the dropped frame came into being. It worked wonderfully.
