OK, that makes sense. Apparently a dead short to ground on that one circuit. That screw must have been grounding that circuit to the panel metal case or other ground or neutral point. Hopefully removing the screw solved the problem. But no real way of knowing what or if any damage was done without removing the panel to see the back side.
