Thanks much for all these great ideas. As I anticipated, some very knowledgeable folks on here. The idea of the northern route is sounding interesting. I have driven coast to coast twice back in the 70s and remember the miles of flat nothing across Nebraska.
We always do tons of research and planning before we go so all these ideas will go into the hopper.
