Heat in basement 2014 Mont HC 305 RL

Will be in No. Carolina in January with low temps at night predicted in 15 to 18 range, days 40-50. Will heat from furnace be adequate to prevent water lines from freezing or should additional heat be placed in basement? I have a heater made to be used in boat engine area (UL approved) that has a small fan and is thermostatically controlled , on at about 38 and off at about 45... If I placed it to blow through an opening in the wall between storage basement and under floor area could the heat travel as far back as the fresh water tank?
