We just tried it and after a second or two the right side catches on something and stops as the left side continues. We stop and reverse at that point. It didn’t do that the last time we checked. I wonder if we’re slightly off-level which is skewing the mechanism.
It worked fine when we picked it up a couple of weeks ago.

Just had the repair guy take a look at the garage. It seems the right side was raising faster than the left and when that happens the motor on the faster side stops to let the other side catch up. The solution is to release the button for a sec then resume. It may be necessary to do that more than once but it wasn’t a problem at all.
