Many years ago my husband didn't get the plug in the power pedestal all the way and it came out, arced and there was a small puff of smoke and a slight electrical burn smell.

Unfortunately, it blew out our microwave, 2 TVs and our stereo unit. Our slides and lights worked for about a day then the batteries went low and we lost everything. Apparently by shorting out the shore power line we blew the converter! Simple fix but we had to buy and install a new converter.
