Any suggestions on how to open it until it stops raining?. (I have not put on any roof covers).
When I order mine next month I am having Max Air II roof covers installed over both fan vents. I am making it part of the deal. They are fairly inexpensive and you can find them on Amazon or eTrailer and most RV dealer stores. Just make sure you get the right model. I installed them myself on my previous Alpine. They are a breeze to install and you can leave the vents open while traveling to clear out any stale air in the coach.
