I have two slides that are rubbing shiny spots in the aluminum slide room facing on the wall of the coach. After much head scratching and looking I have discovered the cause.

I have slide out room awnings installed. The rollers are mounted by screwing into the side of the slide. The screw is too long. The tip sticks out and gouges the shining spot. It took a long time to find because the tip of the screw is hidden by the hollow, flexible rubber seal along the edge of the slide room.
