Just a reminder for everyone to make sure you flush out your hot water tank once in a while. I pulled the plug and drained our HW tank yesterday. Found all kinds of stuff in the bottom from the aninode rod. Used a toothbrush to help all the little deposits out of the bottom of the tank while I flushed it by turning the fresh water back on after draining it. Also will be replacing the rod before the end of the year. Helps keep the HW tank from an early demise. As a fulltimer I feel this is a must do on the old maintainence list at least 2 times a year.
