Ours alarmed on a blowout
Traveling down I90 we herd the boom and within seconds received the alarm. They also alarm within seconds when the system is active and I remove a sensor from the wheel!

Payload was increased on the newer Fords due partly to a body change from steel to aluminum. It gave them the ability to to bolster their frame. I think Ram may have lightened their bodies also.
