I believe this is flex in his as the welds have broken at the base of the stud right at the bottom of the slide. There have been a few that ripped the side of the rig open when the slide was opened....

Yes the trailer needs to be level as that will become it's new zero point. Manually level the unit and then recalibrate it with the 10 front, 10 rear sequence.
