I opened the wall panel and located the vent pipe. Vent pipe was solid and seemed to be secure with no movement up, down or sideways. Still have problem.

Thanks for the replies. Azstar, I also thought the clamps looked cheap. The screwdriver either philips or flat would not hold very good. I think I will use the sealant as well as better clamps....
