I cut cardboard to fit a little oversize and press it over the skylights in the bath/bedroom. I also have some for the side windows near the head of the bed. Works great, easy to store and are free.

I did the same as Cyrus - replaced the 50 amp breaker and it now works fine. I think the old breaker got weak. I would try that first since it is a lot easier and might solve your problem.
