My first inclination when I found evidence of arcing was to just tighten the clamp that secured the wire at the offending prong. But, that would not have fixed the problem...

I use an 18 volt Makita impact wrench to start...

I use an 18 volt Makita impact wrench to start the lug nuts and take them up to about 50 ft-lb (it's upper limit). From there, I use a torque wrench.

In my case, the cord wasn't the problem. One of the power leg wires was inserted too far such that the wire's insulation was under the clamp.
