Leave it in tow/haul mode whenever towing. It adjusts the shift points in the transmission. Plus, when you tap the brakes in tow/haul, it will drop a gear too.

I usually go 50 miles or so and look for the next rest area to pull off and check. I keep torqueing the bolts until they are set after checking 2 more times. After that, I don't worry about it...

Your service advisor is taking advantage of you. You cannot "recrimp" hydraulic hoses. You have to cut the end off and crimp a new end on. Replacing the hoses in 10 hours is also very unrealistic....
