Adding a Winch with Accompanying Headaches

After getting my 2015 Chevy 3500 LB 4WD stuck in the snow in my own drive way, I decided a change was needed.

First, I got rid of the worthless highway tires for some snow tires and then, just in...

What I Like Best

I have a Chevy 2015, 3500, LB, Crew Cab and get 12 mpg towing the trailer and near 20 when not towing. What I like best about it is that its totally paid for. I don't think I would ever pay 70K plus...

Day/Night Shades Failing

I knew they would eventually fail, but not three of them on one outing. I managed to get them in the down mode, but other than that, they were worthless the rest of the seven week vacation. Over the...

In Praise of Marathon Tires--Sorta

I know its customary to bash the Marathon tires. Disasters have been well documented. I've had my Marathons for nearly seven years and had never had one ounce of problems. Of course, I drive no...

I Nearly Had a Heart Attack

We were returning from an eight week trip, going west on I 70 when I exited the freeway for fuel. We were near Green River, Utah, and it appeared we were out in the middle of the boonies. I looked...

My First Blowout

On an RV excursion covering 9 states and 7 weeks, we just had our first China Bomb disaster. We were fortunate to get 25K miles and 8 years on the China Bombs. We pulled into a rest stop on Hwy 97,...

I have one that sits at the back near the tail gate. Plus, its lower than the height of the hitch so when you unhitch the kingpin slides over the top of the tool box. And, with it in the rear you...

I buy Blue DEF at Walmart as its cheap. I put 2.5 gallons in my rig every 2500 miles. Since there is NO way to tell how much is in there, I err on the safe side and just try to keep it full.

TOWING BREAK IN PERIOD

My new 2015 D'max manual says to tow at 50 mpg or less for the first 500 miles. Seriously, is that even possible? How does one avoid a freeway? If I drive at 55 or 60, is that going to harm the...
