Simple to troubleshoot. Heater coils use 120vac supplied by thermostat. Take out fireplace, remove top, look at right hand side of coils to see if thermos witch is still whole. Mine was toast.

It is only two wires that can be hooked up either way as they are not polarity dependant. Go under the rv and find out where the fraying is...if you can see it. You can always use a meter to measure...

Doug, those two group 24 batteries are probably 75 amphr batteries...so you have a total of 150 amphrs. But if you don't want to shorten the life of the batteries, never take them down below 50%...

That is also one funky thermostat. Rear bedroom units usually very different for thermostat than rear living. Also with two thermostats, it is 50/50 as to which controls furnace.

By the size, it sounds like a vent for the 18 cu ft norcold fridge which is new enough for not a lot of people stocking the vent assembly and it would be more expensive than a 12 cu ft norcold.
