Actually there is a switch on the remote that bypasses the EMS in the event of a failure. No need to disconnect wire.

I did it this way on 3 different Montanas with no problem. I had enough excess wire to cut some off and use as pigtail then route remote wire to wherever you want it. :thumbsup:

Oh I realize now that you have the old model that doesn't have the large area with the pull-out tray that CAN be loaded to the point of being too heavy. Too much weight on rear is too much weight....

Be extremely careful if you try this. Overload the rear and you will have tail wag and unit will become very unstable and dangerous. I trucked for 20 years and have seen it many times. :whistling:

One switch for FRESH, one for BLACK, and one for BOTH GRAY. At least that is what mine is like. Your mileage could vary.

Our dining table and closet lights both are located on a nearby wall switch and are very convenient. Didn't your dealer do a PDI with you explaining EVERYTHING before you paid for the unit? Mine did.
