I never had the axle fail or break, but the U-bolts came loose once and the axle slid back causing the Monty to jackknife. Scary!!!

Thanks for posting the pictures. I've had no leaks so far, but I must admit, I've gone a little "crazy" with caulking everything! Ha! Ha! I remember when that happened to you. Glad it's fixed.
