there is a round cover on the outside base of the pedal that you can pop off to access the screws that hold the pedal/valve assembly. I used a pocket knife to pop mine off.

if you have to run the furnace at night then I would doubt if you would make it 2 nights. Take the furnace out of the equation and you should be OK IMHO as long as you use things sparingly

I agree with ole dude, check the bleed valve on the side of the main valve, should look like a small plug with a slot for a screw driver, they probably loosened it when filling and didn't tighten it...

I made my own skirting using the EZ Snap System that jsmitfl provided the link to. Was not that hard to do and seemed to make a difference inside the coach.
