Replacing the switch is a fairly simple fix, its just a 12 volt rocker switch. If I remember right just squeeze the sides in the back and it pops out, unplug the wires and hook up new switch

Don't think brand would make much difference as they all seem to fasten on the same way (at least the ones I've seen). I can use three and just leave the bottom step uncovered
